One of the best wine degustation spots in Imereti is Vintners and Vagabonds. Aidan Raftery began making wine in 2013 in Melbourne, Australia. This was till his first visit in 2017, when he fell in love with Georgia and our wine, bought a house and vineyard in Imereti, and settled here.

Their restaurant utilizes products sourced locally from the village in addition to unique ingredients planted in the property's garden and foraged wild foods. The style of cuisine is a modern interpretation of Georgian dishes plus twists and inspiration drawn from other gastronomic cuisines from around the world.

The winery produces two natural wine labels using both kvevri and old Soviet-era oak barrels; Igavi Wines and Katsia da Guneba. The wine tastings provided are deep, insightful, and educational yet always remain fun which makes them suitable for guests with absolutely no wine knowledge through to sommeliers and wine-makers.
