Tusheti is a place that will etch itself into your memory forever. Every moment of your journey here promises thrilling adventures and indelible impressions. It's the most remarkable corner of Georgia, boasting the majestic grandeur of the Caucasus, untouched forest expanses, cascading waterfalls, rugged ravines, ancient castle towers, stone-built homes, warm-hearted hospitality, exceptional cuisine, local brews, sturdy steeds, a unique tapestry of flora and fauna, enthralling legends, stories, and an eerie ambiance that transcends human language. All of this awaits your discovery.

  • Day 1 We begin our journey by departing from Tbilisi, venturing through the Gombori Pass (1620m). Our first stop is the awe-inspiring Alaverdi Cathedral. As we continue, we enter the Stori valley, where the road to Tusheti commences. We'll traverse the Abano Pass (2826m) and arrive at Omalo village, home to an informative visitor center brimming with insights into Tusheti's rich history, culture, and attractions. For the night, we'll find comfortable lodging in a family-run hotel. We won't miss a chance to explore the Keselo castle towers in Omalo before indulging in a delightful dinner featuring traditional Georgian and Tushetian dishes.
  • Day 2 The day starts with a hearty breakfast at our family hotel. Our adventure unfolds as we explore the charming villages of Dartlo, Kvavlo, and Dano. These places house an ancient courthouse where even female judges once presided. Notably, we'll encounter the UNESCO-listed Tusheti towers, meticulously restored alongside the village of Dartlo. A picnic lunch in the heart of nature revitalizes us before we journey to Bochorna, Europe's highest point at 2345 meters above sea level, and the quaint village of Dochu. Our return to the hotel is punctuated by a delicious dinner.
  • Day 3 We begin our final day with a satisfying breakfast. Our itinerary leads us to several more enchanting villages: Shenako, Diklo, and Old Diklo. Here, we explore the historic Diklo Castle and the 19th-century Church of St. George of Shenako. As our Tusheti adventure concludes, we head back to Tbilisi.

Along the way, we'll encounter more captivating villages, friendly locals, breathtaking waterfalls, and if fortune favors us, glimpses of ibexes, wild goats, and numerous endemic species of animals and birds.
