What you'll see on the road
The road trip from Stepantsminda (Kazbegi) to Tbilisi is your chance to soak in the stunning landscapes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains. As we head back to Tbilisi, we'll be following the Georgian Military Highway (S-3/E-117). The road is well-kept.
During our trip, we'll revisit some of the breathtaking sights you saw on the way to Stepantsminda. The Ananuri Fortress, perched by the Zhinvali Reservoir, offers an opportunity to explore a piece of Georgia's history. You'll also have another chance to enjoy the picturesque Jinvali Water Reservoir and its peaceful surroundings. If you'd like, we can make a pit stop at Gudauri Ski Resort for coffee or simply to admire the mountain vistas.
Our final destination is Tbilisi, the heart of Georgia. The Old Town is a delight with its charming cobblestone streets, colorful houses, and cozy cafes. If you're up for it, you can unwind at the sulfur baths in Abanotubani. Don't miss the chance to visit Narikala Fortress for panoramic views of the city. As we explore Rustaveli Avenue, you'll have opportunities to shop and experience the local culture. Tbilisi's diverse cuisine is a treat, so be sure to try traditional dishes like khachapuri and khinkali. We'll make sure your visit to Tbilisi is a memorable one, blending history, culture, and modernity in this captivating city.
